Oh the joy of coming out of winter doldrums and excitement of lawns coming to life and gardens being planted.  In terms of lawn care, spring is a time to focus on weed control, especially stopping the germination of all those crabgrass seeds laid down last year.   Oh yes, an application of some lawn fertilizer will help overcome winter stress and if some turf was lost overseeding might be necessary.  But hold off on the planting and feeding which should be the focus of your fall program. AND, a soil test is advised, especially as you work to get the pH in the proper range for optimal lawn health.
